The Danny Rumph Classic has become a highly anticipated event in the Philadelphia basketball community, and it has grown in popularity and scope since its inception in 2010. The tournament has helped to raise awareness about the importance of heart health and has provided a platform for showcasing some of the most talented basketball players in the city.
This year included NBA stars including the Morris twins, Marcus and Markieff Morris. They also had 76ers star Tyrese Maxey! They hosted a sold out championship game at Lasalle University!
The tournament is a fitting tribute to Danny Rumph, who was known for his passion and love for the game of basketball. His legacy lives on through the tournament and the foundation that bears his name, and his memory continues to inspire and motivate young athletes in the Philadelphia area and beyond.
